Unfortunately we had to cancel our screening of Zootopia 2 for our Sommerkino opener. The Replacement is “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die”!
At one late night in a Los Angeles diner, a mysterious stranger claims he comes from the future to stop humanity’s downfall. According to him, a handful of seemingly ordinary people are the key to preventing a catastrophic AI disaster. As disbelief turns into chaos, an unlikely group is pulled into a bizarre race against time. What truth could possibly be worth risking the future for?
Director Gore Verbinski, previously known for “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Rango”, brings his trademark mix of spectacle and eccentric humor to the film. The absurd premise and colourful characters create a fast-moving adventure packed with strange twists and visual creativity. Equal parts time-travel adventure, AI satire and offbeat comedy, “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” embraces its madness with remarkable confidence. (SP)

Old Zootopia 2 Text: (Film got cancelled!)
Just one week after Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde became partners at the Zootopia Police Department, their clashing personalities have already complicated their work to a concerning degree. Thus Chief Bogo threatens to separate them if they cannot resolve their differences. To make things even more complicated, a piece of shed snake skin is discovered during a raid on a smuggling ring, evidence for an animal that wasn´t seen in Zootopia for years. Which mysterious scheming will they uncover this time?
While Judy and Nick remain a dynamic and entertaining duo, new characters and environments are well integrated into the story. The background is teeming with pop culture references, and the new locations are vividly animated, which is why the film never becomes tedious, even during its somewhat slower middle section. (CJ)
