Screening of ‘Reunion’ and Discussion with Steinar Bryn (OV)

Together with ISWI e.V. (Initiative Solidarische Welt Ilmenau e.V.) we present the documentary
The event would begin by screening of the documentary based on the
story of old friends from both sides of the conflict over Kosovo meeting again after
being separated by war. The meeting is conducted in the form of a dialogue
session (described below) and is co-moderated Dr. Steinar Bryn.

After the screening, the audience has a chance to interact with Dr. Bryn himself
and discuss ideas about the dialogue methodology and its scope for society

Dialogue Methodology and Steinar Bryn
Dialogue is a conversation based on humility, respect and openness which allows
us to learn about each other. By learning about each other, unmanageable
situations can become manageable. Dialogue enhances relationships in a
community and strengthen the social fabric. Dialogue opens the door to peaceful
Dr. Steinar Bryn has been a peace builder and dialogue worker since 1976, working
in various capacities over his long career. Dr. Bryn has extensive experience
working as a dialogue facilitator. He is highly recognized in communities like
Vukovar, Prijedor, Srebrenica, Bratunac, Stolac, Kosovo Polje, Obilic, Mitrovica,
Bujanovac and Jegunovce. He has also facilitated dialogue in the Middle East and
between Somalian clans. After the merger of Nansen Dialogue and the Norwegian
Peace Center in 2010 he is the senior adviser at the Nansen Center for Peace and
Dialogue. Dr. Steinar Bryn has, together with the Nansen Dialog Network, been
nominated to the Nobel Peace Prize 2009-2014. He has been nominated by the
deputy president of the Norwegian parliament, a member of the Bosnian
parliament and a professor in mediation in Norway.

The movie and the discussion will be held in English. The entrance is free of charge.
