The Guardians of the Galaxy have established their headquarters on a rebuilt Knowhere, while Peter Quill still reels from the loss of Gamora and drowns his sorrows. The night after settling in, the Guardians are attacked by Adam Warlock, who is on a mission to find Rocket and bring him to the High Evolutionary. To save Rocket and to defend the universe, Peter must rally the Guardians of the Galaxy to come together once more for a mission that, if unsuccessful, could mean the end of the Guardians.

„Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3“ is an emotionally powerful, tear-inducing „farewell“ to James Gunn and his Guardians. Rocket’s bittersweet storyline is the soul, heart, and engine of this film, which also has the usual combination of flamboyant CG environments, enjoyable action, and great dialogue, that James Gunn is known for. Thus, this film is great and fun to watch with a fantastic music choice, as always, but also leaves you with a little heartbreak.
