Paddington Brown returns for another adventure as he finally gets his British passport and plans to visit his Aunt Lucy in the Home for Retired Bears in Peru. With the Brown family joining him on the adventure for a number of different reasons, Paddington soon learns that his Aunt Lucy is missing in the Peruvian jungle and that there is no plan for a rescue mission. So, it’s up to the Brown family to support their furry little family member on his mission to save his last biological relative…
The first two Paddington films have received widespread acclaim and impressed with their distinct Britishness and sense of wonder. Paul King chose not to direct the third instalment of the trilogy but instead contributed to the story for the South American-centred follow-up film. Thus, director Dougal Wilson had the honour of making his feature film debut, stepping into some rather big shoes. Nevertheless, he succeeds, and Paddington in Peru proves to be a solid addition to the first two Paddington films.
