In the sixth iteration of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) and Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) are sent on a hazardous mission to capture plutonium which otherwise could be weaponized by the terrorist group „The Apostles“. Meanwhile they have to deal with villain John Lark who managed to steal the deadly and radioactive material. After Hunt fails to achieve his goal due to the safety of his colleagues, the CIA sends out Agent August Walker (Henry Cavill) to support him. A thrilling and fast-paced undertaking begins.

The setup of the film leads to an action-packed adventure which is portrayed in a composition of staggering visual effects and imposing cinematography. Yet again, Tom Cruise impresses with his daring stunts which are mostly performed by himself. The second Mission: Impossible movie by Christopher McQuarrie does everything it promises and delivers one of the finest executions of blockbuster-action-cinema to date.
