DESCRIPTION:Das Jahr 2200: Die Privatdetektivin Aline Ruby und ihr Androiden-Partner Carlos Rivera werden beauftragt\, den Fall zweier vermisster Studentinnen zu untersuchen. Ihre Spur führt sie auf den Mars\, ins Herz der futuristischen Metropole Noctis\, in der Mensch und Maschine Seite an Seite leben. Dort tauchen sie tief in die Schattenseiten der Stadt ein\, und stoßen auf eine düstere Geschichte über Gehirnfarmen\, Korruption und ein vermisstes Mädchen\, das ein Geheimnis über die Roboter bewahrt\, welches das Angesicht des Universums zu verändern droht. \nBei den meisten Menschen sind die einzigen Berührungspunkte mit der umfangreichen Animationsszene Frankreichs vermutlich die Asterix-Filme oder Netflix Erfolgsserie „Arcane“. SUMMARY:Alien: Romulus
DESCRIPTION:1979 schuf Ridley Scott mit „Alien“ ein Meisterwerk des modernen Sci-Fi-Horrors; 7 Jahre später folgte die Fortsetzung „Aliens“ von James Cameron\, ebenfalls ein Erfolg unter Kritikern und Fans. Die Filme über blutrünstige xenomorphe Wesen\, welche in klaustrophobischen Raumschiffen im endlosen Weltall Jagd auf eine Space-Crew machten\, schockierten die Kinogänger bis aufs Mark. \nÜber die Jahre erschienen zahlreiche weitere Fortsetzungen und Spin-Offs\, welche unter Fans gespalten bis negativ aufgenommen wurden. \nDer neuste Beitrag zum Franchise ist „Alien: Romulus“ von Regisseur Fede Álvarez\, welcher sich nun endlich wieder auf die Stärken des Originals zurückbesinnt\, dabei aber auch eine eigene Handschrift des Regisseurs zulässt. Denn Álvarez ist bekannt geworden als Horrorregisseur. Er hat mit seinem „Evil Dead“-Reboot (2013)\, einer der blutigsten und erschreckendsten Filme der letzten Jahre\, und dem beengenden\, hochspannenden „Don’t Breathe“ (2016) wahre Fanlieblinge geschaffen\, und vereint in „Alien: Romulus“ nun Elemente aus beiden. \n„Alien: Romulus“ ist ein Film\, der sowohl neue als auch alte Fans begeistern dürfte und das Franchise auf packende Weise neu belebt. Besonders Fans von Body Horror/Creature Horror oder einer düsteren Geschichte im Sci-Fi-Setting dürften hier auf ihre Kosten kommen.
