DESCRIPTION:The elders of the Osage Nation bury a ceremonial pipe and lament the assimilation of their descendants into white American society. Wandering through their reservation in Oklahoma\, during the annual „flower moon“ when the fields bloom\, some Osage find oil bubbling up from the ground. The tribe becomes prosperous as it retains the mineral rights and members share in the income from the oil leases\, although the law requires that white\, court-appointed guardians manage the money of the full and half-blood members as they are considered „incompetent“.\nIn 1919\, Ernest Burkhart returns from World War I and lives with his brother Byron and his uncle William King Hale on his large reservation ranch. Hale\, a deputy sheriff and cattle rancher\, poses as a friendly benefactor of the Osage\, speaks their language and gives them gifts. Whilst working as a taxi driver\, Ernest meets Mollie Kyle\, an Osage whose family owns oil reserves. DESCRIPTION:Hirayama ist ein etwas wortkager Toilettenreiniger in Tokyo. Seine Tage folgen der immer gleichen Struktur. Aufstehen\, zur Arbeit fahren und dabei Musik hören\, Mittagspause im Park\, abends duschen im Badehaus und danach in einem kleinen Restaurant Suppe essen. Langweilig scheint Hirayama dabei nicht zu sein. Durch die Einfachheit seines Alltags kann er sich in Ruhe seiner Leidenschaft für Musik und Bücher widmen. Als plötzlich seine Nichte vor der Tür steht\, wird er gezwungen\, zu kommunizieren und sich mit seiner Vergangenheit auseinanderzusetzen.\nUrsprünglich wurde Wim Wenders für einen Dokumentarfilm über die öffentlichen Toiletten in Tokio eingeladen. Von der Idee ließ er dann schnell ab und schafft es in diesem fast schon dokumentarischen Spielfilm die Schönheit des einfachen Alltags einzufangen. When World War II broke out\, he could finally use his exceptional academic knowledge for working in Britain‘s leading cryptography team at Bletchley Park for deciphering German secret messages. Initially rejected by his colleagues\, Turing manages to gain control of the project and divert resources to an automatic electronic cryptanalysis machine. Meanwhile\, fear of foreign spies and questions about Turing’s sexuality come to light.\nMorten Tyldum’s biopic isn’t shy about dramatizing Turing’s Life and changing some details and historicities to fit the narrative structure better. Yet\, Cumberbatch’s introverted play and the supporting performances of renowned actors such as Keira Knightley and Charles Dance help to elevate an ordinary biopic to one of the classics of the 2010s. Following the news of Stalin’s poor health\, the members of the Central Committee of the CPSU are more concerned about his succession than his health. Secret service chief Lavrenti Beria (Simon Russell Beale) tries to win back the people’s favor by suspending the executions on Stalin’s orders. Stalin’s deputy Georgi Malenkov (Jeffrey Tambor)\, meanwhile\, overwhelmed by the situation\, simply follows the suggestions of the other members of the Central Committee. Dazu gehört auch die Beziehung mit der älteren Joséphine de Beauharnais (Vanessa Kirby)\, welche gut vernetzt ist in der französischen Aristokratie. Doch die Ehe der beiden ist ein ständiges Spannungsfeld.\nRidley Scott verfolgt Napoleons Leben mit Höhen und Tiefen. Er schafft ein Historienepos mit Fokus auf dessen persönliches Leben und die Beziehung zu Joséphine. Dabei wird der Aufstieg des Feldherren bis zu seinem Untergang thematisiert. Bedeutende Schlachten werden ebenso bildgewaltig inszeniert wie das persönliche Leben in Frankreich. Das Biopic zeigt persönliche Schwächen des Kaisers der Franzosen auf.\nFür diese beeindruckenden Bilder wurde „Napoleon“ bei der diesjährigen Oscarverleihung für Szenenbild\, Kostüme und visuelle Effekte nominiert.
