SUMMARY:Nosferatu
DESCRIPTION:Nach der enuesten Dacla-Verfilmung\, gibt es im zweiten Teil unserer Vampir-woche die älteste Verfilmung von Bram Stokers Horror-Klassiker als ganz besonderes Event auf unserer Leinwand zu sehen. \nLetztes Jahr wurde dieser Meilenstein der Filmgeschichte 100 Jahre alt und wir zeigen ihn genau wie damals analog mit zwei 16mm-Filmprojektoren. Mit dem Außergewöhnlichen noch nicht genug\, wird die Live-Begleitung von Stummfilmpianist Richard Siedhoff für eine unvergessliche Atmosphäre sorgen. \nDie Geschichte ist altbekannt: Der Makler Hutter reist nach Transsylvanien\, um Graf Orlok Verträge für einen Hauskauf in der norddeutschen Stadt Wisborg zu überbringen. Auf der Reise und im Schloss häufen sich düstere Vorahnungen\, bis sich der Graf schließlich als Nosferatu\, als untoter Blutsauger\, entpuppt. Als Orlok auf dem Weg nach Wisborg die Pest in die Welt trägt\, beginnt ein Wettlauf mit der Zeit um Orlok aufzuhalten und Hutters Geliebte zu retten. \nAufgrund fehlender Rechte wurden einige Details und sämtliche Namen geändert\, dennoch ist der Film so nah an der Vorlage\, dass nach richterlichem Urteil alle Kopien vernichtet werden mussten. Wir zeigen eine restaurierte und viragierte Fassung der einzig überlebenden Kopie. DESCRIPTION:Nachdem John Wick (Keanu Reeves) am Ende des dritten Kapitels vom Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) gerettet wurde und zu alter Stärke zurückgefunden hat\, setzt er seinen Rachefeldzug gegen die Hohe Kammer fort.\nMit Johns neuem Gegenspieler\, dem Marquis Vincent de Gramons (Bill Skarsgård)\, stehen ihm diesmal nicht nur Streitkräfte der Hohen Kammer und diverse Kopfgeldjäger gegenüber\, sondern mit Caine (Donnie Yen) auch ein ehemaliger Weggefährte und alter Freund von John. Als der Kampf gegen die Hohe Kammer aussichtslos erscheint\, bietet sich John die Chance\, den Kampf ein für alle Mal hinter sich zu lassen.\n„John Wick: Kapitel 4“ ist ein bombastisches Action-Spektakel\, welches wieder einmal zeigt\, dass diese Filmreihe keine großen Schwächen zu kennen scheint\, sondern sich mit jedem Film in jeglicher Hinsicht zu steigern weiß. DESCRIPTION:Based on the play of the same name\, “The Whale” tells the heartbreaking and heartwarming story of Charlie (Brendan Fraser)\, an online English teacher\, who has become massively overweight after the death of his partner. As he tries to reconnect with his daughter (Sadie Sink)\, he must confront the choices he has made and his innermost demons. Can he overcome them before it is too late?\nDirected by Darren Aronofsky\, also known for „Black Swan“ or „Requiem for a Dream“\, the movie deals with heavy themes such as loss\, grief and hope. Being a chamber drama\, it is quite astonishing to see what can be achieved within the confines of a single room.\nFor me personally\, Brendan Fraser’s truly fantastic (and Oscar-winning) performance is the highlight of the movie. DESCRIPTION:Zusammen mit dem Gleichstellungsrat der TU Ilmenau präsentieren wir eine spannende Geschichte einer jungen Jura-Studentin\, welche die Vorlage für das deutsche Spielfilmremake „Contra“ war. \nNeïla Salah hat es geschafft: Sie wurde an der renommierten Pariser Assas Law School angenommen und ist auf dem besten Weg\, Anwältin zu werden und sich damit endlich ihren großen Traum zu erfüllen. Doch schon am ersten Tag läuft alles schief: Neïla kommt zu spät – ausgerechnet zur Vorlesung von Professor Pierre Mazard\, der für sein provokantes Verhalten und seine verbalen Ausfälle bekannt ist. \nIn seiner nicht im Entferntesten politisch korrekten Art nimmt er die junge Studentin vor versammeltem Hörsaal sofort aufs Korn. Doch diese Begegnung bleibt nicht ohne Folgen. DESCRIPTION:Based on the 2005 biography „American Prometheus“ by Kai Bird\nand Martin J. Sherwin\, Christopher Nolan’s latest film chronicles the\ncareer of American theoretical physicist Robert J. Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy)\, focusing on his time as the director of the Manhattan Project during World War II\, which led to the successful Trinity test.\n\nIt also shows his early years with his relationships with Communist Party members like his wife Katherine Puening (Emily Blunt) and Jean Tatlock (Florence Pugh)\, with whom he had an affair. This ultimately led to the 1954 security hearing\, where Oppenheimer’s past was used to remove his political influence after he advised against further nuclear research.\n\n„Oppenheimer“ shines with its thrilling script\, outstanding performances by all the actors\, but especially Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr.\, and of course with its visuals\, where Nolan once again excels. This movie will not only blow you away visually\, it will also keep you on the edge of your seat with its story. DESCRIPTION:This year\, „Barbenheimer“ was by far the biggest film event. That’s why we proudly present the film „Barbie“ on the occasion of the action week „Equality“ together with the Equality Council of the TU Ilmenau. \nLife in plastic\, it’s fantastic; at least until you develop a conscience and start thinking about death. In her Barbie Land\, guided and ruled by all the other plastic dolls with their extraordinary abilities\, the stereotypical Barbie begins to think about her destiny. She gets flat feet\, falls off the roof of her dream house instead of floating down\, and the showers are cold! So she takes a trip to the real world to find out the reason for all the changes. Oh\, and Ken is there too. But he’s just Ken. \nWacky\, pink and socio-critical\, Greta Gerwig manages to combine pop culture and modern times to create a great spectacle that turns the role of women\, the patriarchy and Barbie Land upside down. Margot Robbie as Barbie is brilliantly cast and takes you through all the life situations of a Barbie on a course of self-discovery.
