SUMMARY:Sisu
DESCRIPTION:Das finnische Wort „Sisu“ lässt sich nicht genau wörtlich übersetzen.\nDas Konzept umfasst große mentale Stärke und Ausdauer besonders in anscheinend hoffnungslosen Situationen.\nGegen Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs lebt Aatami Korpi zurückgezogen mit seinem Hund und Pferd in Lappland. Seine Zeit als Soldat hat er hinter sich gelassen und schürft nun nach Gold. Nach einem ergiebigen Fund trifft er auf dem Weg in die Stadt auf eine Einheit unter Führung von SS-Obersturmführer Bruno Helldorf. Die Nazis unterschätzen Korpi\, der in der finnischen Armee als Kriegslegende gilt\, was einen Rachefeldzug des Finnen auslöst. \nHier handelt es sich um einen Film\, der sich nicht zu ernst nimmt. Helander präsentiert einen Film für Fans von B-Movies und kompromissloser Action\, ohne jedoch auf hochwertige Effekte\, Kameraführung und gutes Schauspiel zu verzichten. Die brutale Action reißt über die gesamte Laufzeit nicht ab. Die durchaus kreativen und komplett übertriebenen Kampfszenen werden blutig inszeniert. Die weite Landschaft Lapplands wird eindrucksvoll eingefangen. To save Rocket and to defend the universe\, Peter must rally the Guardians of the Galaxy to come together once more for a mission that\, if unsuccessful\, could mean the end of the Guardians. \n„Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3“ is an emotionally powerful\, tear-inducing „farewell“ to James Gunn and his Guardians. Rocket’s bittersweet storyline is the soul\, heart\, and engine of this film\, which also has the usual combination of flamboyant CG environments\, enjoyable action\, and great dialogue\, that James Gunn is known for. DESCRIPTION:Die junge Mathematik- und Sportlehrerin Carla Nowak (Leonie Benesch) wird wegen ihres ausgeprägten Idealismus von ihren Kollegen oft belächelt. Doch als an dem Hamburger Gymnasium eine Diebstahl Serie beginnt und ihre Kollegen anfangen mit einer Null-Toleranz-Politik nach Tätern zu suchen beginnt ihr Alltag zu kippen. \n„Wer nichts zu verbergen hat\, der brauch sich auch keine Sorgen machen“. Die kalte Direktorin Dr. Bettina Böhm (Anne-Kathrin Gummich) biegt sich daraufhin das Recht wie sie möchte\, um der Situation endlich Einhalt zu gebieten. An der Schule machen sich Verdächtigungen und Denunziantentum breit\, während Carla zusehends mit ihrer psychischen Gesundheit zu kämpfen hat und schließlich einen folgenschweren Fehler begeht. \n„Das Lehrerzimmer“ illustriert auf eindrucksvolle Weise die Konflikte\, die zwischen Recht und Realität im täglichen Leben auftreten können. Die deutsche Produktion ist beim Deutschen Filmpreis mit 5 Auszeichnungen bedacht worden\, darunter Bester Spielfilm und Beste Hauptdarstellerin. SUMMARY:Renfield (OV)
DESCRIPTION:It’s Halloween. The perfect week to watch not just one but two vampire films. Before we have our special event\, screening the oldest vampire movie\, we start with the newest and quite different interpretation of Dracula and his forgotten servant Renfield. \nAfter nearly a century of servitude\, Renfield has grown tired of being the ever-loyal familiar supplying his master\, Dracula\, with very human\, bloody meals. Seeking redemption\, he joins a self-help group to explore the depths of his toxic relationship and share his struggles with like-minded individuals. However\, this leads our protagonist down a path riddled with corpses and crime syndicates\, prompting him to carefully navigate the streets of New Orleans to avoid getting caught. Joining him on this adventure is police officer Rebecca Quincy\, who sees Renfield for what he could be and is determined to root out the corruption within the force and the city. Armed with bug-fueled superhuman powers and a thirst for revenge\, the two join forces to bite back at the evil nestled in the core of it all. \nThis new take on the story is set up as a sequel to the original story and tells it through witty jokes and very graphic violence that provokes gasps and laughs alike.
