DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nTogether with the ISWI e.V. we proudly present another movie cooperation taking place on the movie night of the international student week in Ilmenau. "The Cleaners" will screen in original language with german subtitles! After the screening there will be a talk with the director of the movie Hans Block so you can ask all your questions about the film.\n\nImagine a world\, where the content you share on social media is not freely published but is checked before everyone can see it. This world is reality. Facebook\, Twitter and YouTube use algorithms to filter controversial content and to send it to content moderators in the Philippines who check whether the content is published or not. By doing this\, they are subject to brutal\, pornographic and unconstitutional texts\, images and videos. The movie shows the world behind the scenes of social media.
