At the prestigious Welton Academy, four pillars define student life: „Tradition, Honor, Discipline, Excellence.“ When a new English teacher, Mr. John Keating (Robin Williams) arrives in 1959, a class of students rapidly grows fond of Keating’s fresh attitude and liberal style. His unconventional teaching methods and passionate call to „seize the day“ quickly captivate his students, inspiring them to embrace their individuality.
When the boys discover that Keating himself was once a Welton student and member of the secretive „Dead Poets Society,“ they’re determined to revive the underground poetry club. Supporting their talents in art and culture, Keating becomes a mentor and father figure for most of the class.
